Now we know where Apple stands on the ever-controversial topic of selfie sticks.
The company has a clear message for people planning to attend its World Wide Developers Conference in June: leave those selfie sticks at home.

Apple announced Tuesday that tickets are now on sale for its WWDC event, which (for $1,599) gives developers access to five days of sessions, labs and special events around building software for iOS and the Mac. But hidden in its registration and attendance policy notes — as first spotted by Chris Welsh — is a gem of a request to not use selfie sticks or similar camera accessories while at the event, as well as e-cigarettes.

"You may not use selfie sticks or similar monopods within Moscone West or Yerba Buena Gardens," the rules say. "Solicitation or selling of items or services is not allowed at WWDC. Any attendee conducting these activities may be removed from WWDC. Smoking (including e-cigarettes) is not permitted anywhere inside Moscone West."
Apple added that attendees are not allowed to make audio recordings or take professional photos or video at the conference.
The event kicks off on Monday, June 8, and runs until June 12.
